.. to the homepage of the historic re-enactment society M I M scot|man in middle-ages Scotland (a subsidiary of m i m|IG Mensch im Mittelalter e.V.)
We aim for the credible presentation of people from various location in Scotland and England around the year 1345. These people could be peasants, soldiers, merchants, nobles and clergy.
m i m scot incorporates historical crafts, activities and costumes into an interactive presentation that seeks to give observers and participants a sense of opening a window into the past.
Using re-enactment as an educational medium and work in cooperation with living history museums, historic sites, heritage interpreters, schools and other historical re-enactment groups to educate the public in a par- ticular area of history, such as clothing styles, pastimes and handicrafts, or to simply convey a sense of the everyday life in the middle of the 14th century in Scotland.
We are aiming for the highest possible level of authenticity and use period sources like illuminations and manuscripts to recreate the tools and fashion we use and wear.
m i m scot is currently mainly focused on these interactive presentations:
We are also organising events titeled „how people used to ..“ focusing on different topics like historic cooking, fashion, culture and more.
